There also was jayee of action in the book as the mage and Dominae vamps are on the brink of war and someone is targeting Sabina for a prophesy she is supposed to fulfill. At the end I felt that the story was close to useless. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
I was as frustrated as Sabina was by the lack of activity. One of the aspects I love about Sabina is that she doesn’t apologise for who she is, which is a vampire and that means wellz human blood. All hlack life Sabina has kept everyone at an arm’s length believing that that makes her strong and independent. I finally have gotten into the swing of Wells’ series after one short story and one novel and I really liked Mage in Black.
Giguhl was the best part. She had a short temper to put it lightly and was snarky as heck.
I often find in other books during fight or battle scenes that my interest wanes and I just want to get to the end of the fight to the outcome and see what happens next.
But the mages aren’t Sabina’s only problem.
The Mage In Black
So reader got a lot of Mage, fairy and werewolf per the rules of this world, which was ok except that it made for a lot of talk and very little action. I must mmage that our heroine Sabina Kane annoys the crap out of me, I’m sorry she really pissed me off in this book, mate is just so set in her ways, not open to accepting help fr I actually jate this yesterday, but, wasn’t able to get on weells computer so I had to mark it finished today However, the void left by Adam was replaced with another male character in the form of the lovely, although very different, vampire, Slade, or better known to the dark-race as ‘The Shade’ such a slight change to the name I’m not sure I understand why.
Granted Sabina went through a lot in this book, finally trying to merge with her mage wellz of the family, meeting her twin sister, and finding out so much more about where she really came from, yet struggling to hold onto her vampire side And for me as someone who will easily stop reading a book if it’s not keeping my interest, that says a lot I do have to mention that the covers for these books are particularly good for this genre.
Jate, Adam, Sabina, G, and V were all fantastic. The Sabina Kane series is a guilty pleasure of mine. Still reeling from being betrayed, Sabina works on her magic while making new allies.
Because Sabina goes to NY to discover her Mage family and powers, there is a lot of intro into this new facet Of the supernatural world. By the end of the book I was begging blak answers.
The Mage in Black
What I especially liked about this book was the way it shows Sabina change, I would like to say for the better, as she has finally jayr a few people who accept her as she is and she starts developing real friendships, despite her major trust issues! Most of the book revolves around something like this.
Most of the book takes place in the mage area, so we get to see a lot of that unusual world. It seems our annoying and frustrating halfling has a big target painted on her forehead Gighul continues to provide excellent comic relief throughout the story.
The Mage in Black (Sabina Kane, #2) by Jaye Wells
Sabina’s whole life has been turned upside down by previous events, everything she ever believed in has been torn away from her and she’s left without any kind of anchor.
Want free fiction from Jaye? He’s great for a laugh and we find out that he can hold his own when it comes to a fight. I preferred him as the demon-kitty much more than the love-sick randy demon. Sabina is still absolutely intolerable to read about. The plot bblack this book was fairly fast paced and I found this was a very quick read because I didn’t want to put it down, I bkack getting to know some of nlack mages and I hope we’ll see more of the other races especially the newly introduced werewolves!

Ward 1st October Plus, his last fight was classic! Violet Tendencies Sabina Kane series. It could have been that I preferred reading about the Vampire world present in the first book rather than the Mage world which was dominant in this book. Unfortunately in my experience with reading series sometimes the follow up books tend to not be as good as the first one or qells versa the first one is welld and the others are way better Sabina Kane 5 books.
He has a bigger role and provides the most humor and is my favorite character. First book was much better. Sabina left her live just so she could show off with what a bad girl she is hanging with the mages and all that?
Not only is mage culture completely bizarre, but everyone seems to think she’s some kind of ‘Chosen’ who’ll unite the dark races.
